1 So all3605 Israel3478 were reckoned by genealogies;3187 and, behold,2009 they were written3789 in5921 the book5612 of the kings4428 of Israel3478 and Judah,3063 who were carried away1540 to Babylon894 for their transgression.4604

2 Now the first7223 inhabitants3427 that834 dwelt in their possessions272 in their cities5892 were, the Israelites,3478 the priests,3548 Levites,3881 and the Nethinims.5411

15 And Bakbakkar,1230 Heresh,2792 and Galal,1559 and Mattaniah4983 the son1121 of Micah,4316 the son1121 of Zichri,2147 the son1121 of Asaph;623

18 Who hitherto5704 2008 waited in the king's4428 gate8179 eastward:4217 they1992 were porters7778 in the companies4264 of the children1121 of Levi.3878

19 And Shallum7967 the son1121 of Kore,6981 the son1121 of Ebiasaph,43 the son1121 of Korah,7141 and his brethren,251 of the house1004 of his father,1 the Korahites,7145 were over5921 the work4399 of the service,5656 keepers8104 of the gates5592 of the tabernacle:168 and their fathers,1 being over5921 the host4264 of the LORD,3068 were keepers8104 of the entry.3996

20 And Phinehas6372 the son1121 of Eleazar499 was1961 the ruler5057 over5921 them in time past,6440 and the LORD3068 was with5973 him.

21 And Zechariah2148 the son1121 of Meshelemiah4920 was porter7778 of the door6607 of the tabernacle168 of the congregation.4150

22 All3605 these which were chosen1305 to be porters7778 in the gates5592 were two hundred3967 and twelve.8147 6240 These1992 were reckoned by their genealogy3187 in their villages,2691 whom David1732 and Samuel8050 the seer7203 did ordain3245 in their set office.530

23 So they1992 and their children1121 had the oversight5921 of the gates8179 of the house1004 of the LORD,3068 namely, the house1004 of the tabernacle,168 by wards.4931

24 In four702 quarters7307 were1961 the porters,7778 toward the east,4217 west,3220 north,6828 and south.5045

25 And their brethren,251 which were in their villages,2691 were to come935 after seven7651 days3117 from time4480 6256 to413 time6256 with5973 them.428

26 For3588 these1992 Levites,3881 the four702 chief1368 porters,7778 were in their set office,530 and were1961 over5921 the chambers3957 and treasuries214 of the house1004 of God.430

27 And they lodged3885 round about5439 the house1004 of God,430 because3588 the charge4931 was upon5921 them, and the opening4668 thereof every morning1242 1242 pertained to them.1992

28 And certain of4480 them had the charge of5921 the ministering5656 vessels,3627 that3588 they should bring them in935 and out3318 by tale.4557

29 Some of4480 them also were appointed4487 to oversee5921 the vessels,3627 and all3605 the instruments3627 of the sanctuary,6944 and the fine flour,5560 and the wine,3196 and the oil,8081 and the frankincense,3828 and the spices.1314

30 And some of4480 the sons1121 of the priests3548 made7543 the ointment4842 of the spices.1314

31 And Mattithiah,4993 one of4480 the Levites,3881 who1931 was the firstborn1060 of Shallum7967 the Korahite,7145 had the set office530 over5921 the things that were made4639 in the pans.2281

32 And other of4480 their brethren,251 of the sons1121 of4480 the Kohathites,6956 were over5921 the shewbread,3899 4635 to prepare3559 it every sabbath.7676 7676

33 And these428 are the singers,7891 chief7218 of the fathers1 of the Levites,3881 who remaining in the chambers3957 were free:6362 for3588 they were employed5921 in that work4399 day3119 and night.3915

34 These428 chief7218 fathers1 of the Levites3881 were chief7218 throughout their generations;8435 these428 dwelt3427 at Jerusalem.3389

35 And in Gibeon1391 dwelt3427 the father1 of Gibeon,1391 Jehiel,3273 whose wife's802 name8034 was Maachah: 4601

16 又有耶杜頓的曾孫、加拉的孫子、示瑪雅的兒子俄巴底，還有以利加拿的孫子、亞撒的兒子比利家。他們都住在尼陀法人的村莊。

17 守門的是沙龍、亞谷、達們、亞希幔，和他們的弟兄；沙龍為長。

18 從前這些人看守朝東的王門；他們在利未人隊中為守門的［they were porters in the companies of the children of Levi］。

19 可拉的曾孫、以比雅撒的孫子、可利的兒子沙龍，和他的族弟兄可拉人都管理使用之工，並守會幕的門；他們的祖宗曾統管［over］耶和華的軍隊［host］，曾作把守門的［were keepers of the entry］。

22 被選守門的人共有二百一十二名。他們在自己的村莊，按著家譜計算，是大衛和先見撒母耳所派當這緊要職任的。

23 他們和他們的子孫按著班次看守耶和華殿的門，就是會幕的門。

24 在東西南北，四方都有守門的。

25 他們的族弟兄住在村莊，每七日來與他們換班。

26 這四個門領都是利未人，各有緊要的職任，看守神殿的旁屋［chambers］府庫［treasuries］。

27 他們住在神殿的四圍，是因委託他們守殿，要每日早晨開門。

28 利未人中有管理使用器皿的，按著數目拿出拿入；

29 又有人管理器具和聖所的器皿，並細麵、酒、油、乳香、香料。

30 祭司中有人用香料作膏油。

31 利未人瑪他提雅是可拉族沙龍的長子，他緊要的職任是管理盤中烤的物。

32 他們族弟兄哥轄子孫中，有管理陳設餅的，每安息日預備擺列。

33 歌唱的有利未人的族長，住在屬殿的房屋，晝夜供職，不作別樣的工。

34 以上利未人的各族長［These chief fathers of the Levites］，都是宗族之中［throughout their generations］為首的［chief］；這些人都［these］住在耶路撒冷。

35 在基遍住的有基遍的父親耶利。他的妻名叫瑪迦；

36 他長子是亞伯頓。他又生蘇珥、基士、巴力、尼珥、拿答、

37 基多、亞希約、撒迦利雅、米基羅。

38 米基羅生示米暗。這些人和他們的弟兄在耶路撒冷對面居住。
